AMID the political crisis clouding Compostela town, business resumed somewhat at the municipal hall yesterday.

Employees like 57-year-old janitor Juan Castro tried to navigate their way through the presence of followers of former mayor Ritchie Wagas.

“I came early but I reported late because I was unable to punch in at the (bundy clock) since the building was locked,” said Castro who has been doing the rounds at the plaza since 1995.

The three-foot tall janitor had to go home early last week when Wagas’s supporters swelled in number, crowding the plaza.

Castro echoed the sentiments of fellow municipal workers, saying he doesn’t want to be entangled with the dispute between Wagas and Mayor-elect Joel Quiño. Continue Reading…
