A father killed his wife, three children and a maid before committing suicide at past 8 a.m Sunday.
Police found six bodies bathed in blood in the home of Emmanuel Ponce in Palm Lodge, Tabunok Talisay City after being called by Talisay City administrator Ritchel Bacaltso.
Recovered from the crime scene were one .45 pistol. Aside from Ponce, among those found dead were his wife Melinda, children Elaine Grace, 26 years old, Heether Joy, 25 years old, Erlin Bridge, 18 years old and their 30-year old helper Anastacia Deniega.
The couple’s youngest daughter, Amber survived after being told by her father to go out of the house. Neighbors said Embrolaince Therjoy, a second year high school student, is closest to her father. The investigation is still underway

We cannot judge any man we see as a sinner for we ourselves are sinners as well but in the eyes of God if we confess and repent he will forgive us…This unfortunate event could have been prevented if someone has just offered help earlier. Based on the series of events in their family, the father must have gone through a hard time which must have caused him anxiety and depression. Di gyud ta makatagan sa unsa naa sa mind sa usa ka person going through emotional and psychological turmoil. All he needs is a support system and a medical help…but it’s too late for that now. Ang youngest na lang ang tabangan. Let us pray for her. Her family is now safe and happy with God.
