A policeman failed to stop motorcycle riders from passing through a checkpoint at the South Road Properties (SRP) without inspection when his gun conked out as he tried to fire a warning shot last night.
Senior Supt. Melvin Buenafe, Cebu City police chief, said the policeman and two other back-up officers chased down and arrested the motorists. Two packs of sachet were confiscated from their possion.
Buenafe commended the officers and asked the PNP’s regional logistics division to ensure that the firearms given to the Cebu City police are in good condition.
