Cyclist found the money bag of an international freight forwarding company dumped on the sidewalk in hinterland barangay Busay, Cebu city hours after the robbery.
Only checks worth P486,000 were left in the bag which belongs to APL Logistics Company.
The company, located just a block away from Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) was robbed by five men early morning yesterday.
The cyclist turned over the money bag and an employee’s bag to a television network in Busay, Cebu city which was later turned over to MCPO last night.
The P353,000 cash from the money bag is missing while the employee’s P5,000 was also lost. Only the employee’s identification cards, personal belongings and credit cards were left.
Two of the suspects who pretended to be clients were identified through a CCTV camera.
Police said the crime was organized and the suspects are possibly members of an organized crime ring from Ozamis.
