The pilgrim image of Sr. Sto. Nino will make its first visit the Senora dela Regla Parish in Lapu-Lapu City as part of the 447th anniversary of “Kaplag” and the celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan.
Fr. Tito Soquiño, Executive director of Santo Nino De Cebu Augustinian

The image will disembarked at a private wharf and will proceed to the Regla Parish in Lapu-Lapu where a Marian mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am.
Soquiño said this year’s Kaplag festival will include Naval honors for the Santo Niño in recognition of his rank as Celestino Capitan General de las Esfuerzas Espanolas en
Filipinas or the Most Esteemed Captain General of the Spanish Forces in the Philippines, a visit to the Birhen sa Regla church in Opon, and arrival honors at the Naval Forces Central (NAVFORCEN).
A mass at 6:00 in the morning on Saturday at the Basilica Minorre Del Sto. Nino will signal the day-long activity. Right after it, the image will be fetched by contingents of NAVFORCEN, Phil. Coastguard and PNP.
They will carry the pilgrim image in procession to the Malacanang sa Sugbo pier, where it will be board a naval vessel.
