At least six houses were damaged when a riprap of a subdivision fell on top of them, about 8p.m., Tuesday.
One was proclaimed dead while three persons were rescued from the rubble and brought to the hospital. The shanties were built within the restricted river easement in sitio Kalubihan, barangay Talamban, Cebu City.
Barangay workers, tanods and officials rushed to the scene to search for any people buried in the rubble. It had yet to be determined how the riprap owned by Casa del Rio subdivision collapsed on the shanties.
