A FIRE struck a large portion of the residential area in Barangay Luz, Cebu City at past 3 p.m.
The interior portion of Barangay Luz covered at least four sitios including Lubi, Sto. Niño 1, Abellana and Central. The narrow road and the lack of fire hydrants made it difficult for firefighters to put out the blaze.
Most of the houses are made of light materials. The low water pressure also hampered firefighters from putting out the fire which is still raging two hours after it broke out.
