The body of a skydiver who was buffeted by strong winds and then dragged off shore from the South Road Properties (SRP) was found today by a Bantay Dagat rescue team at 12 noon.
The skydiver was with another companion when they made the jump and were supposed to land at the SRP at 9 a.m last Saturday. One was rescued while the other was reported missing since that day.
Meanwhile, one fastcraft ran aground near the Shell island at 8 p.m last Saturday. All passengers were advised to return to Cebu port. All fastcrafts leaving Cebu port returned after experiencing high waves.
A tugboat also ran aground near Lawis Ledge, Talisay, last Sunday. The Coast Guard is still investigating the incident.

Very sad news. They shouldn’t have jumped at all with the bad weather. This will be another blow to the sport and will affect the skydiving community. Safety first always. My heart goes to the family of my fellow skydiver.
