Police disperse, end Talisay vendors’ rally

POLICE managed to disperse 200 vendors who formed a human barricade around the Tabunok Public Market at 7 a.m today.

The police broke through the human barricade and closed down the old Talisay City market in Tabunok, Talisay southern Cebu, ending the vendors’ assembly.

An improvised grenade was confiscated from one of the protestors as the vendors stayed in the area since yesterday afternoon.

Tabunok vendors refused to transfer to the new Macapagal-Gullas Market in barangay Lagtang which is ready for occupancy.
