Three hurt in passenger jeepney collision

THREE persons were hurt in a collision at a junction of M. Logarta Street and EO Perez Street in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City at 1:20 p.m Tuesday.

A route 01K bound passenger jeepney driven by 28-year-old Zerick Esconde lost its brakes as it turned the curve at M. Logarta and E.O Perez streets, causing it to collide with a route 21B passenger jeepney.

The collision caused the 21B passenger jeepney driven by 30-year-old Eric Leonardo to turn turtle.

Leonardo’s passengers Leo Ursal, Mar Pedi and Rosalio Mahinay acquired minor injuries and were rushed to the Mandaue City District Hospital. The two drivers are held at the Mandaue City Traffic Divison pending investigation.
