HIS work as a policemen had kept PO1 Rey Lumagod from voting in the last three or four elections.

Lumagod, who is assigned at the Cebu City police station 2, will finally exercise his right to vote in next year’s election.

The 29- year- old policeman was one of at least 25 policemen who availed of the special registration for policemen conducted by the Commission on Election ( Comelec)- Cebu City yesterday.

Jun Bendulo, Comelec- Cebu City election assistant, said the special registration was made to ensure that members of the police will have the chance to vote in the 2013 elections.

Lumagod, a native of Bohol province, had not been able to vote since 2008 after he was transferred to barangay Sambag 2, Cebu City.

The policeman said he will use his exercise to vote wisely “so that only those qualified candidates can win.”/Contributor Joy Cherry S. Quito
