A MAN accused of robbing a saleslady was arrested in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Mark Anthony Buanghug, 25, was identified by Angie Caparida, 23, as one of the two men who robbed her early morning last Saturday, said police.
Buanghug’s alleged cohort Jerome Cuyos remained at large.
Police said the two men were reportedly members of the Alpha Kappa Rho fraternity.
Caparida told police that the two men boarded the same jeepney that she rode on her way to work around 5 a.m.
The woman said when she got off the jeepney, the two men also got off and followed her.
While Caparida was walking along a road, the two men poked a gun at her and declared a hold-up.
They took the woman’s bag containing P2,000 cash and a cellular phone then fled to sitio Mahayag.
The woman ran to the Subandaku police station to report the robbery.
Subangdaku police later arrested Buanghug.
Chief Insp. Franco Rudolf Oriol, chief of Subangdaku police, said they recovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol from Buanghug. /CORRESPONDENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
