For refusing to pay his debt, a 49-year-old man was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Wilfredo Primitiva, a family driver, was stabbed several times in the body.

Police identified the suspect as Rolando Antigua.

An hour before the attack, Antigua went to see Primitiva and pressed him to settle his P500 debt but went home empty handed.

At 6:30 p.m., Primitiva was driving a motorcycle on his way home in Holy Name Street when the suspect blocked his path.

Police said Antigua kicked the front wheel of the motorcycle causing the vehicle to crash.

When Primitiva slumped on the ground, the suspect stabbed him repeatedly with a knife, said police.

Antigua fled after the attack, while the victim was brought by his wife to a hospital./CORRESPONDENT JOY CHERRY S. QUITO
