Traffic aide shot dead in Carmen

A TRAFFIC enforcer was shot dead by an unidentified assailant while he was driving home in barangay Luyang, Carmen town, northern Cebu.

Police are still investigating possible motives in the killing of 36- year- old Neil Quinco Sabayton.

Sabayton was driving a motorcycle with his wife when the attack occurred past 11 p. m. last Wednesday.

The couple was on their way home. Sabayton had just picked up his wife at a terminal in Danao City.

Police said the assailants waited for the couple along the road. When the couple passed by, the assailants who were on a separate motorcycle, followed them.

While tailing the couple, the backrider of the other motorcycle shot the victim in the back.

The wife sustained minor injuries when the motorcycle crashed to the ground.

Sabayton was declared dead when he was brought to a hospital./ Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
