Fire hits plastics company in Mandaue City

ABOUT P5,000 worth of properties were destroyed in a fire that hit 7D Food and Corp. at 3:20 p.m today in Tawason, Mandaue City.

Security guard Vicente Aresgado said the fire broke out after personnel failed to notice that flames hit the wires at the back lot used to burn unused plastic, foam and tires.

The company is owned by Jesus Aricial Jr.. The fire lasted for nearly an hour and firefighters from the Talamban and Mandaue City fire stations went to the area to put out the fire. Police are investigating the incident./US-JR Intern Michelle Joy Padayhag
