Comedian Redford White takes final bow

MANILA, Philippines—After a lingering battle with brain and lung cancer, Redford White, or Cipriano M. Cermeno II, passed away this Sunday morning. He was 54.

Director Wenn Deramas, who worked with White on his last TV show “Kokey,” recalled that the comedian was always “quiet, reading books on the set.”

Frequent TV and movie co-star Ces Quesada described the late comic as a “professional, a wonderful co-actor, and a generous collaborator.”

Quesada worked with White on the TV sitcom “Buddy en Sol” for five years. Read More…
