Market official: Thief wasn’t harmed

Posted on August 7, 2012

A noted thief that preys Mandaue City Market wasn’t harmed in any way during his arrest, a market official insisted.

Mandaue’s Asst. Market Administrator Caesar Mercadal said he was dismayed by reports that he hit theft suspect Eliterio Carpio during a routine market inspection.

Mercadal said Eliterio must be thankful to him for hiding him from those who wanted to hurt him. He said they previously arrested Carpio’s neighbors identified as Ronnie Galon and Gardo Soco for stealing in the market yesterday./ Argie Baquero, PIT Intern
